 GP Changes

Dr Evans has a new job outside of the practice as Training Programme Director for GP Trainees this means she will no longer be working in the practice on Monday’s. Dr Evans will be available for appointments on a Tuesday afternoon and all day Friday dependant on the morning extended hours service on a Friday in which case she will only be available in the morning.


Dr Walshe has been a locum with us throughout the summer and we are happy to say he will be joining us as a regular GP from Wednesday 2nd October working Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays all day.


We have a new GP Jessica Searle joining us as a regular GP from Monday 9th September she will be working Monday morning and afternoon.

Convenient ultrasound appointments at the practice

Did you know if your GP refers you for an ultrasound investigation you can now have this here at the practice.

Scanassure Medical Ultrasound visit the surgery on a Thursday between 1pm and 4pm.


Changes to appointment booking at the Forum treatment room

Bookings for the treatment room clinics for dressings and removal of stitches etc at the Forum Health Centre now go through the South Manchester Single Point of Access.

You can book an appointment by calling 0300 303 9650. Previously, these appointments have been booked through the specific Community Treatment Room reception at the Forum. This reception will no longer be used, but queries and follow-up appointments will be covered by NHS Property Services staff at the general Forum Health Community reception.

Please note we DO NOT offer dressing changes and removal of stitches at the practice.


Text Message Reminder Service

We have now introduced a text message reminder service for appointments. Please check with the surgery that we have your up to date mobile number. If you do not wish to receive text message reminders please let us know and we will update your record.

Reminder regarding nursing appointments

Please be aware that we do not offer the following nursing services at Brooklands Medical Practice

  • Removal of sutures and stitches
  • Changing of dressings and wound checks 

Travel vaccination appointments

If you require travel vaccinations please complete the online form for each person travelling or call into the surgery to complete a form, please do this no later than 4 weeks before your travel departure date.
