How your Referral will be managed


GP Referral dictated and typed


Up to 3-4 days after you are seen, dependant on urgency


 


Referral then emailed to ICG Booking Service 


 who then forward the referral to Clinical Triage


(this will be triaged within 72 hours)




Then it is sent back to ICG Booking


ICG booking will then send you a message within 24 hrs of receiving


referral back for you to ring in to book your appointment.




If no contact is made by you, they will then send you a letter asking you to contact them, if they do not hear from you within 14 days,


the referral will be returned to your GP.




When contact is made, the ICG booking centre will be able to book an appointment for you, if they cannot offer you an appointment, it will be sent to the hospital for them to offer you an appointment when one becomes available. (Routine appointments can take up to 16 weeks)
